Heather Martin is having fun in the sun in Italy – in her swimsuit. In one of her recent social media posts The Bachelor alum shows off her amazing figure in a bathing suit while sunning herself in Tuscany. "Soaking up every last minute of ☀️💛" she captioned the Instagram post. "A queen," commented one of her followers. "Wowowowowow," added another. How does the reality star keep herself fit and healthy? Celebwell rounded up some of her healthiest diet and fitness habits.
Heather recently revealed that she discovered a new workout. "Little story time…I have NEVER I repeat never in my life stuck to a workout routine for more than 2 months 🤪 I've always given up because it was "too hard" or "unrealistic" or "boring" but I have been going to @purebarre_northcarlsbad consistently since January and I have never felt or looked better! I truly feel like my body has transformed and I feel strength I have never felt in my life. It's the first workout that I have actually ENJOYED and been excited to go to. It's accessible to all fitness levels (including those who have injuries or my pregnant mamas out there), it tones muscles you didn't even know you had, all while being a low impact workout. The instructors are wonderful and work to modify any move. You feel like you're part of a community etc. I could go on and on," she wrote on Instagram. "It has been a full body transformation for me that is healthy and doable without lifting crazy weights! (which will never be my speed)."
Heather maintains there is "no better feeling" than riding a horse. According to the American Heart Association, riding horses is great for your health. Not only does it boost cardiovascular health, but builds core strength, burns calories, and lowers blood pressure. It is also great for your mental health as it helps relax you.
Heather also goes on daily walks, a game changer in terms of exercise, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day led to a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.
Heather rides bikes around San Diego. The Cleveland Clinic explains that biking, a low-impact aerobic exercise, is great for building muscle, improving strength and flexibility, and improving balance. It can also boost mental health and help other health conditions, including arthritis.
Heather likes to drink the occasional glass of red wine. "Red wine, in moderation, has long been thought of as heart healthy," says the Mayo Clinic. "The alcohol and certain substances in red wine called antioxidants may help prevent coronary artery disease, the condition that leads to heart attacks."
